Mandisa, an American Idol contestant who went on to be mildly successful as a Christian artist, and even won a Grammy, has sadly died at 47   RIP

Conductor Sir Andrew Davis died over the weekend. He was 80. RIP 

American guitar legend Duane Eddy died at 86 

Producer Steve Albini died at 61 this week. In a sometimes controversial career, he was part of different bands, but worked on Nirvana's In Utero in 1993. RIP 

Sax player and sometime bandleader David Sanborn has died at 78, after a battle with cancer. RIP 

Australian yodeller legend Frank Ifield, scorer of 4 UK #1 singles, has died at 86. RIP 

Charlie Colin, a founder and former member of American soft-rockers Train, has died at 58. RIP 

Colin Gibb, bespectacled member of UK 80s hitsters Black Lace, has died at 70. Whether they play Agadoo at his funeral is another matter. RIP 

Irish red-head chanteuse Rose-Marie died last week at 68

Thomas Bruckner, better known as Tomcraft, died earlier this week, at just 49. He scored a UK #1 single with Loneliness in 2003. RIP 

Duke Fakir, the last surviving original member of The Four Tops, has died at the age of 88. The cause was apparently heart failure. RIP

Producer Pat Collier has died at the age of 72. He was in bands like Bazooka Joe and the Vibrators, before becoming a top producer for acts like the Jesus and Mary Chain, and many others:

80's singer, Greg Kihn, has died at the age of 75. His biggest hits included 'Jeopardy' and 'The Break-up Song'. RIP

Also, Jack Russell, frontman for rock band Great White, has died at the age of 63. RIP

I read about both of those this morning, and though I've heard of Great White (very briefly), neither name rings a bell. RIP both though 

80s disco diva Evelyn Thomas died recently at 70. Her highspot in the UK was High Energy.

Also passing was Dewi Morris, who featured in Welsh bands like Edward H Dafis and Tebot Piws, has died at 76.

American rapper Fatman Scoop died surprisingly over the weekend, at the age of 53. He remains best known in the UK, if at all, for his #1 single Be Thankful, which I never liked. RIP 

Danielle Moore, of Crazy P, has sadly died at 52. RIP 

Bossa nova legend Sergio Mendes has sadly died, at 83. He did Mas Que Nada, and so many others. RIP
