Carpenter held the UK top spot for a surprising 5 weeks, but has been KO'd by the returning Eminem, who has a new album coming soon. It's his 11th UK #1 single overall, which seems ludicrous, and his first to be a "solo" effort since 2005. 11 puts him level with Calvin Harris, which is just as silly. One of his former ones, Without Me, also re-entered the top 40.

Eminem managed a fortnight on top in the UK, but has now been replaced by Sabrina Carpenter, with her 2nd consecutive #1 Please Please Please.

Carpenter has been #1 and #2 for the past 3 weeks, the first time a solo female act has achieved that feat.

Eminem's latest album went straight to #1 in the UK, his 11th 

Something of a shake-up in the UK singles, with Espresso plummeting from the top (presumably the mandated drop-off which hasn't happened in quite a while). Shaboozey also dropped out of the top 10, and others dropped clean away too.

Sabrina Carpenter was usurped from the UK top spot again (but for how long?) by a new track from Charli XCX together with Billie Eilish, as the hype for the former's "Brat" album continues. It's Billie's 3rd #1 and Charli's 2nd, coming 12 years after helping Icona Pop's I Love It.

Carpenter's run pretty much over, with PPP dropping from #2 to #16. Chase & Status scored the surprise new UK #1, their first such, and it includes Stormzy who thus clocks up a 4th one.

There we go, Sabrina Carpenter back for her 3rd #1 single, as her album goes to #1. Rather more emphatic than Oasis, back with 3 oldies in the top 20.

Some refreshment in the UK top 10, as half of last week's list drops away, and Charli XCX's album reversion goes to #1, thwarting the attempt of James Blunt to get his 20-year-old album back to #1.

Even more changes this week, with Lady Gaga's collab with Bruno Mars dropping from the top 5, and 9 week #1 from Sabrina Carpenter also dropping out of the top 10, allowing Gigi Perez to achieve her debut #1 by default 

Perez-mania lasted just the one week (as yet), with Gracie Abrams replacing her at the top with her 1st #1 single in the UK.

Ominously, both Wham! and Mariah Carey's Christmas smashes have already re-entered the charts, though outside the top 40.
