This 2012 concert at Claremont, California coincided with her Red album. She told some "how I came to write this song" stuff inbetween numbers. As she is notorious for writing about relationships (usually after they end), this ran a risk of repetition. Still, she did end with Love Story along the way.

Her new version of Fearless went to #1 this week, which sets her a new record for the shortest time span between 3 #1 albums (after Folklore and Evermore of course). The previous record-holders were the Beatles, so that's a 50+ year record broken.

Her latest re-do album has gone to #1, extending her run to 8 #1 LPs in a row here. A rare 10 minute version of the track All Too Well also went in at #3 in the singles chart, her best success for a while.

She's going to have to go to court again, as it's argued that "Shake It Off" owes something to somebody else - to an extent that it's plausible to consider in court.

She suffered a rather bizarre slight recently when occasional Blur/Gorillaz bod Damon Albarn reacted in an interview by suggesting she doesn't write her own material. Of all the people to suggest this of... anyway, Ms Swift inevitably rose to the bait.

She won big at the Video Music Awards, and announced a forthcoming new album in October I think.

The new album, Moonlights, came out this week and went to #1 in the UK, and 3 singles from it entered the top 4, including her 2nd ever #1 single, Anti-Hero.

This got dismissed, and her current album returned to #1 for Christmas week, traditionally the top-selling week of the year.

She's announced her Eras tour will come to the UK and Europe in 2024, which has to prompted rumours she might be a headline act at next year's Glastonbury, as her 2020 booking has yet to be fulfilled.

Wouldn't you know, she's now had to announce yet more dates, which scotch the Glastonbury idea because she'll be elsewhere that weekend. Ah well, fun while it lasted.

Her latest re-recorded album has returned her to #1 in the UK album charts. She's also scoring an unexpected big hit with Cruel Summer, which seems to have been latched onto (maybe because of the weather), and has now risen to #3 in the UK singles chart.

She won mega-big at the MTV Video Music Awards, getting 9 (NINE), particularly with the hatefully intolerant "Anti-Hero". I did try watching the show but it was just an incoherent mess (or I'm old).

A concert film based on this had mega-pre-orders, and premiered this week with special guests like Beyonce.

And her latest re-recorded album, 1989, has also gone to #1 in the UK. Three "vault" tracks from it entered the top 5 singles, including Is It Over Now? becoming only her 3rd #1 UK single. Cruel Summer had stayed in the lists since the summer, but was pushed out by the vault issues, having returned to #3 last week. She's also supposedly dating some NFL player, who can presumably look forward to inevitably having a song written about him after they split.

She's set some new record for Grammy nominations. Also announced more dates for her London shows in 2024.

She was this week named as the UK's most streamed act of 2023, but her publicist has denied that she got married sometime in the last 3 years.

The accolades continue: Time magazine named her as Person of the Year, and her film has reportedly raked in upwards of $1bn already so far

It came out last week, and will probably be her latest #1 in a few hours. She's set new Spotify records with it, amongst other issues.
