Highest first week sales since Shape of You in early 2017... it's only her 3rd UK #1 single though (after Someone Like You and Hello).

30 went to #1, taking ABBA's record for biggest first-week sales of 2021, though apparently only a third of the first-week sales for her previous album 25.

Holding on at the top of the UK singles & albums charts, and now announced plans for a Las Vegas residency in 2022!

She had the best selling album of 2021, and is currently back on top of the singles chart now the Christmas madness is over.

An Audience With Adele
A chance for her to sing some new songs and old, and take questions from a part-celebrity audience (Stormzy and Samuel L Jackson were among the questioners). Alan Carr helped fill in whilst she had an "unplanned" problem.

Not to be confused with doing "Adele at the BBC" which they've used before. Mostly music from 2007 onwards, though did include the charming "fake Adele" skit she did on the show she did with Graham Norton.

It was in fact due to start today, however yesterday she had to announce its postponement because it's not ready, and covid hasn't helped etc

World-famous singer Adele sent a ripple throughout the woke internet by proclaiming how much she loves being a woman at the BRIT Awards. Articles are surfacing claiming she is being cancelled for saying, "I love being a woman." I hope she does not apologize. The fact that this is even an issue is even more proof that cancel culture is a sickness.

Fairly sure nobody here gives a monkey's about this   Adele is who she is (a Londoner!) 

Whether she deserved three awards or whether the latest album is up to stuff, are more serious lasting issues about Adele.

Another accolade, as 30 was named 2021's biggest selling album worldwide (the top single worldwide was "Save Your Tears" by the Weeknd).

She returned to live performance last night at a Hyde Park concert, where she was visibly moved by the experience, but rallied to please the crowd.

Further to the above, she also appeared as the guest on long-running radio show Desert Island Discs, where she discussed the fall-out from the cancellation of her Vegas residency (which she seems to still plan to get to, in time).

She's re-announced the dates for her Vegas residency, which will now start in November.

Adele: 30 Greatest Moments
A fairly familiar plod through her story, somewhat out of chronological order, though more direct the nearer to the top, which seemed to feel her 4th release was of more greatness than her Brit Awards turn in 2011 which brought the house down, or her many Grammy results, or the Bond theme, and so on.

Video Killed The Radio Star: Adele
David Grant and Robert Elms generally gushed about her works, from Chasing Pavements and Rolling in the Deep, to the thematic double-header of Hello and Easy On Me.

I note I missed her 25th and 30th birthdays with this thread. But she did turn 35 yesterday 

Been very quiet on the recording front lately, but she's announced a mini-residency coming up in Munich.

Less good news is that she's had to cancel some upcoming shows in her Las Vegas residency for unspecified health reasons. Munich not until the Summer.

Her Las Vegas residency is coming to an end soon, and then she's going on hiatus. She did welcome a surprise audience member the other day, though, when Celine Dion paid a visit; Adele being a fan.

It ended last weekend, so maybe she'll be off to work on her 5th album for a while (or look after her family, or both).
