August 24, 1968 Empty generations in time

Post  nitesoulflyer Sat Jan 29, 2011 6:25 pm

I graduated in 1966 from Sacred Heart High School and would like to share a memory or two. All of us grew up from the very late 40's....Baby Boomers.......Children of post WWII............

Simply put.........we had no idea what to do with the late 60's post Beatles orld.....Heck. We were still living in the days of Peggy Sue.........and Chantelly Lace!........BUT........then came Deep Purple (Hush, Hush) and others......where did it come from...........we just didn't know what to do with these songs.......

Lot's of went to San Francisco, New York.New Orleans, or whatever big city we could find to claim......(Close to our real home and harth)

I suddenly recall the (60 yr anniversry of Pearl Harbor and my wonderful little mother watching NBC that
morning.....and me?.......I was beside her.........and could NOT BELIEVE it had Really been sooooooooooo long ago in the past.............so here I am...in 2011.........Lord., where did the years go.........from 1959 AND Buddy Holly and Bobby Vee since the night he died in Clear Lake, Iowa........wow......guess I am sitting in my mother's chair suddenly......God Bless.....and my love to to allll the new "generation's" who will find there time..........l.ove Nite
