Your Favorite Songs .... Now
I'm gonna put a heap of the UK charted Tops in here. If you like 80's / trance / eurythmic / rap in moderation .... UK is it.

Re: Your Favorite Songs .... Now
I've got a good friend that is a huge music lover. He loves things that aren't necessarily what's popular or on the Top 40; things you don't hear on the radio often, if at all. He is constantly sending me new music to listen to and introducing me to new bands and artists.
Some of my favorite things that he's introduced me to:
The Bravery--I like a lot of their music
The Ravonettes (I've done a lot of listening to Love in a Trashcan recently)
Theory of a Deadman
VV Brown
I'm also a fan of Cobra Starship and Rick Vito (awesome guitarist and a super guy to boot).

Ting Tings? Sooo 2008
Guetta did the wonderful 'Love is Gone', and the remix of 'Love Don't Let Me Go', and Kelly is the best person in D Child, and did the fantastic 'Daylight'. Put them together... and this one does nothing for me

Re: Your Favorite Songs .... Now
A bit over the typical "scene" stuff. I'll admit I'v e been on more of a mainstream level lately and rejoicing in some classic 80's favs. I do like this an awful lot though ..... Lots of catching up on my part at the moment. Eliza Doolittle - Pack Up

Re: Your Favorite Songs .... Now
Nadine Coyle - Insatiable
2nd Girls Aloud member to go solo. Seems to me aimed squarely at the American market.
Cheryl Cole - Promise This
The other GA soloist, with the 12 month head start and dubious other-half problems. Fair enough track.
The Saturdays - Higher
Somewhat more upbeat than their last wishy-washy effort, and the video is definitely sucking up to somebody
Selena Gomez and the Scene - Round and Round
Eh, it is what it is, which is not half bad. That Wizards of Waverly Place isn't awful, either. I'm a bit gutted how young she is - I suppose it's an inevitability that you will end up feeling older as time passes, but this is ridiculous

Re: Your Favorite Songs .... Now
Wow! It's been a while since I've been able to listen to much of the new. I have finally had a moment's relaxation and would like to commend you on these tracks! I'm behind on atleast half of the USA charts, much less UK. As I like UK Top 40 far better myself, I decided to start here. Some AMAZING tunes! Oh, I do hope some cross over. Not sure what I like best. I'm also going to add these to the jutebox in the UK section as it's been some time being able to update. Really trying to knock out the 70's and expand on what we put into this forum. Much appreciated that you linked these and I LOVE them ALL! Highly suggested for anyone that appreciates good tunes. Going to change a few links as a few of these were only avail in UK.
PS - My fav song right now might be E.T. - Katy Perry feat. Kayne West
Re: Your Favorite Songs .... Now
Glad to hit the target, then. Ellie Goulding was for me probably THE breakout female star of 2010.
I was also glad that this Jacko record is actually not bad. Heard it on radio a coupla times, but singles don't seem to get the same straightforward coverage in the Age of Downloads.

Re: Your Favorite Songs .... Now
Rather let this go lately, but here's a few wacky or quirky videos to round the year off, though don't hold your breath expecting them all to score big in the charts:
Friendly Fires - Hurting
Cosmo Jarvis - She Doesn't Mind
Kaiser Chiefs - Kinda Girl You Are
The Black Keys - Lonely Boy
Will Young - Come On
Plenty of good stuff around, unsurprisingly, as the year draws to a close
