Rock N Roll Road-Trip w/Sammy Hagar - Aloha Fleetwood
To Maui to meet Mick Fleetwood at his restaurant. Sammy was impressed by rock photos, and the endurance of the band. At this time, 2017, Mick was talking fondly of the classic line-up still being together, which he saw as his function. He showed some memorabilia museum, including the infamous Austin 7, "Lettuce Leaf". They did a number on stage, including a very long drum solo for Mick. Value for money, perhaps.

Having returned to the US top 40 this week, Dreams has now returned to the UK top 40 as well. The story started with Tiktok, as a few stories do these days:

Stevie Nicks - 24 Karat Gold - The Concert
Another show shown as it's out for sale.  From 2020 too. She mentioned Prince once or twice, and played many favourites from across her career.

Stevie Nicks has cancelled her gigs for the rest of 2021, given the ongoing crisis with the Delta variant.

Elsewhere, Lindsey Buckingham has a new self-titled album out shortly.

Fleetwood Mac - The Dance
An MTV production from 1997, so classic line-up in place, and an encore that included the USC Marching Band for Tusk and Don't Stop. They made sure to add in new material, even if the crowd understandably were more enthusiastic for familiar old stuff.

Brett Tuggle, a journeyman keyboardist who logged two decades in Fleetwood Mac during their reunion era and also served as a founding member of the David Lee Roth Band in the Eighties, died June 19 from complications related to cancer. He was 70.

Tuggle’s son Matt confirmed his death to Rolling Stone. “He was loved by his family so much,” Matt says. “His family was with him throughout the entire time of his illness. He was a lovely father. He gave me music in my life.”

Over the course of his long career, Tuggle also played with Jimmy Page, Rick Springfield, David Coverdale, John Kay and Steppenwolf, Styx’s Tommy Shaw, and Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels. During his tenure with David Lee Roth, he co-wrote the 1988 hit “Just Like Paradise.”
RIP~

Stevie Nicks - Rock A Little
From the famous Red Rocks auditorium somewhere in Colorado, from 1987. Mick Fleetwood was there too. She worked up to Edge of Seventeen as her finish, but did throw in Dreams earlier on, and a quirky number called Beauty and the Beast.

Very sad to learn that Christine McVie has died at the age of 79. A true talent and will be sorely missed. RIP

Yes, a shocking news story. I would have expected almost any other member of the classic line-up to go before her. She was a vital songwriter contrasting with the spats between Stevie and Lindsay. We still have great songs like "Say You Love Me" and "Everywhere" though. RIP Sad

Mick has reportedly suggested he thinks Christine's death is the end for Fleetwood Mac.

Mick Fleetwood and Friends celebrate the Music of Peter Green and the Early Years of Fleetwood Mac
A tribute from last May, at the London Palladium, in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. Mick's house band included drummer Zak Starkey and the reliable Andy Fairweather-Low. Many guest performers came on to sing and play, from Steven Tyler and Noel Gallagher and Pete Townshend, to David Gilmour and Kirk Hammett and John Mayall. Early band member Jeremy Spencer was joined by Bill Wyman for his contribution, and there were also Billy Gibbons and Christine McVie, both now sadly gone. An impressive show and tribute.

The recent wildfire tragedy on Maui hit home for Mick Fleetwood, as his restaurant was one of the casualties. Stevie Nicks expressed sympathy and sorrow, though faced criticism for coming across as tone-deaf to the overall immensity of the situation.

Fleetwood Mac at the BBC
Somewhat half-hearted round-up, including interview bits with Mick, Stevie and Christine in the main, as well as some solo stuff from Stevie. At least they had the footage for a couple from Peter Green's era, and they played out with Christine doing Songbird, but I still find the inclusion of videos to be ludicrous.

Radio 2 In Concert: Fleetwood Mac
They came to Manchester in 1990, at a time when Lynsey was out of the band, and 2 new guys were in. They made more mention of Peter Green, in fact. Stevie seemed to be in the ascendant, and in this set there wasn't even much material from Tango In The Night (though they were pushing a newer album by this point).
