... This is the first hit for Booker T. & The MG's from Memphis, Tennessee. MG stands for Memphis Group. Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1992. Drummer Al Jackson was murdered on 10/1/75 (age 39).

what wonderful songs, friends and memories of being alive in 1962. I first want to comment on Eddie Hodges...he is from Hattiesburg, and I've known him most of my life...well, from about 10 I guess. Troy Shondell once told me on the phone what a wonderful song Girls, Girls, Girls was. Eddie had a star over him in those days (and even broke my Arm!..lol..while driving me down the sidewalk on his little red driving car that really went. I fell off the back when he pressed the accelerator and took off to fast.

Then there my friends (well...maybe not friends...but I went on the Fl. tour with them with Bobby Vee for 3 days...Tommy Roe and Bryan Hyland.
