Judge Sandy Canavan said she would be failing in her duty if she did not jail him.

Rapper Kodak Black and three associates were arrested Wednesday night at the United States-Canada border on weapons and drugs charges, New York State Police and Customs and Border Protection confirmed to USA TODAY.

New York State Police said in a press release Thursday that the 21-year-old rapper (whose real name is Bill Kapri) was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana after he and three other men attempted to enter the United States via the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge.

Kapri was released Thursday on a $20,000 bail, the Niagara County Sheriff's Department confirmed.

Kapri was driving a Cadillac Escalade, in which police found marijuana and a Glock 9mm pistol that he did not declare, according to the reports. An additional associate of Kapri's was driving a Porsche, which police searched. They reportedly found two loaded handguns inside the car, as well as a third gun and marijuana in the trunk.

The new set of charges, which Cook County prosecutors filed Thursday, are the most serious R. Kelly has faced so far. They include four counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, two counts of criminal sexual assault by force, two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and three counts of aggravated sexual abuse against a victim aged 13 to 16. The four aggravated criminal sexual assault charges are classified as Class X felonies and carry a potential prison sentence of up to 30 years. Kelly is scheduled to appear in court June 6th.

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine offered massive record deal in prison ---
Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has been offered a massive record deal worth $10 million, all while he sits in prison, according to a report. ---
TMZ said the rapper's former label, 10K Projects, wants him to put out an English album and a Spanish album once he's a free man, and it will pay up once those are done.

Of course, there's no guarantee as to when Tekashi will get released, but both the rapper and the record label are banking on a judge handing down a light sentence in exchange for him testifying against his old gang members.
The rapper has been locked up since last year when he was arrested for racketeering. He faces a 47-year minimum prison sentence. However, there is some belief that he could be released on probation as early as 2020 for his cooperation with prosecutors.
While some in the rap community are disgusted that Tekashi is spilling the gang's secrets, the rapper believes he will be more popular than ever with the masses upon his release. In fact, while acknowledging that his former gang may very well try to go after him in the free world, he said he has no interest in going into witness protection.
Largely due to Tekashi's testimony, several of his former gang member pals were found guilty of a litany of charges last week.

The 23-year-old initially denied the charges but entered a plea bargain, giving evidence against other gang members in order to get a reduced sentence.
The 13 months he's spent in jail already will be included.
The rapper had been facing a minimum of 47 years and a maximum of life in prison but the plea bargain means he could be released around November 2020.

Grammy-nominated star DaBaby was detained on Thursday (Jan. 2) by the Miami Police Department for questioning in connection to a robbery that occurred earlier in the day.
After the North Carolina MC hosted a New Year’s event with Diddy and DJ Khaled in Miami Beach on Wednesday (Jan. 1), footage began circulating on social media Thursday afternoon displaying the 28-year-old born Jonathan Kirk being placed in handcuffs by police. The Miami Herald reports he wasn’t charged with anything related to the robbery.

In a police report obtained by Billboard, DaBaby engaged in a verbal skirmish with two men, one being a music promoter, regarding a $30,000 appearance fee for an event slated for later on that day. After Baby noticed that the promoter was $10,000 short, he allegedly punched one of them and attacked the other man along with his team.

According to the report, members of Baby’s team allegedly ransacked the victim’s pockets, taking an IPhone 7, a Bank of America credit card and approximately $80 in cash, while the other man fled the scene for his safety. Along with the alleged fight, the victim claims that he was doused with apple juice by one of Baby’s entourage members.
Detectives relayed to the Miami Herald that they opted to keep Baby in custody after learning of his warrant in Texas stemming from a previous battery charge. Baby’s bond was set at $1500 and he is expected to appear in front of a judge on Friday (Jan. 3).
This is the second time in the last two weeks that DaBaby was taken into police custody. He was arrested on Dec. 23 in Charlotte, N.C. for marijuana possession.

The drill artist, who's had two top 10 UK singles, was sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court in north London on 3 January.

Trick Daddy Arrested in Miami on DUI, Drug Charges ---
Rapper Trick Daddy is facing charges of cocaine possession and driving under the influence after an officer found him apparently asleep behind the wheel on Saturday (Jan. 11) in Miami, authorities said.
An officer found the rapper when responding to reports of a driver hitting signs and running red lights in a Range Rover early Saturday, The Miami Herald reported.
An arrest affidavit says Maurice Young, the rapper’s real name, told the officer he had about five drinks hours earlier at a Miami Gardens nightclub. The report said Young had slurred speech, bloodshot, watery and glassy eyes, and that the officer smelled alcohol on his breath.
Police said Young failed a field sobriety test and was taken to a station, where police found cocaine in his belongings.
Young was already wanted on a warrant for driving under the influence.
The Miami native, famous for hits such as “I am a Thug,” has been arrested before on drug and weapon charges.
It is unclear whether he had a lawyer who could comment on his behalf.
