Good news, he's an interesting guy on the scene, does some good interpretations of songs. And a mostly-new-songs album is even better Cool

Bryan Ferry: Dylanesque (Live)
Runthrough of his recent album of Dylan covers, with him talking inbetween performances. I'm not convinced projects like this do him or Dylan any favours, but then again Rod Stewart gets away with the same sort of nonsense, I suppose.

Bryan Ferry - Live in Lyon
From Jul 25, 2011, an hour of the old & new, with a few surprises. He ended on 'Jealous Guy'. I find it odd that guys like him and Rod Stewart are respected for churning out the cover versions, but the Pop Idol/American Idol generation get slagged off.

Discovering: Bryan Ferry
The latest in this series considers the art rock genius with the fondness for cover versions. Roxy Music have the critical kudos seldom connected with glam, whilst his solo work gave him bigger success in America. Still an interesting figure.

Bryan Ferry @ Glastonbury
An hour & half headline show from the West Holts Stage, Ferry mixed up the hits & the less so, the Roxy & the solo, and delivered them all with equal passion. He ended on 'Jealous Guy', and gave an impressive show to silence any who might have doubted his position on the bill.

'Avonmore' entered the charts at #19

Inside Roxy Music 1972-1974
A typical Heyday TV effort, but including some band members for a change (not ones you'd know by name, though). The first 4 LPs received due consideration, though in a decreasing fashion. Maybe the magic tailed off when Eno went.

More Than This: The Roxy Music Story
Smoothly told tale of how Bryan Ferry & pals forged a new art rock path, sent Brian Eno on his stellar career, took a break to miss punk, and then hit big with a different kind of sound, before going into the wilderness for 18 years and then reuniting. Cracking songs along the way, nice people, particularly nice to hear from less familiar voices in this story, like the drummer.

Roxy Music: In Concert at Frejus
Typically, a mix of the most familiar and the obscure. They did 'Do The Strand' and 'Jealous Guy' as their encore. Ferry never seems to be bracketed with the likes of Rod Stewart, despite some career choice similarities. But this was a good show.

Very sadly, the ONLY song Bryan Ferry ever had the the US was 'Kiss And Tell' which only scored a position of #31. Well, in all fairness, Roxy Music did touch #30 with 'Love Is The Drug' in 1976. Rolling Eyes

Bryan Ferry - Live at Baloise Session
Clearly, this is a popular gigging place, albeit probably little known outside Europe. Here, the avuncular Roxy Music legend bashed through a lively set for an hour or more from 2014, and even a few tracks I knew. You can tell how keen he still is, both to perform and to keep the audience's interest.
