times. Significantly, this makes it the fastest track to reach that target.

It took just 87 days for "Hello" to hit the milestone -- nearly twice as fast as the previous record of 158 days set by Psy's "Gangnam Style."

Adele had an intriguing time at the Grammys due to sound technical quality issues.

Adele is richest British female musician after doubling wealth

Adele, a singer and songwriter, has more than doubled her earnings since last year, from £35m to £85m, after staging a surprise comeback album and tour.

The 27-year-old comes in at number 30 on this year’s musical rich list, with 25-year-old Ed Sheeran squeezing in at number 49 with £45m.

Adele, who topped the under 30s music Rich List, beat Sir Cliff Richard, Gary Barlow, Ronnie Wood and Kylie Minogue after a lucrative year of touring.

She made her debut on the under-30s list in 2011 in ninth place, behind stars such as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Katherine Jenkins.

Ian Coxon, who has edited the Sunday Times Rich List for 20 years, said he expected Adele's fortune to continue to grow.

"Adele is only 27 so I would see her getting in the main list of the richest 1,000 in a couple of years - she is only £15 to £20 million away now," he said.

Adele Dedicates Concert to Orlando Victims: 'The LGBTQA Community, They're Like My Soulmates'

Adele was moved to tears on Sunday night during her show in Antwerp, Belgium, when she told the audience she was dedicating the concert to the victims of the massacre at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, which took the lives of 49 and injured 53.

"I would like to start tonight by dedicating this entire show to everybody in Orlando at Pulse nightclub last night," she told the crowd at the Sportpaleis on the first night of a three-show run. "The LGBTQA community, they’re like my soulmates since I was really young, so I’m really moved by it." Welling up with tears, she cut the tension by adding, "I don’t know why I’m crying already because most of tonight is pretty miserable because my songs are f---ing miserable."

She added her voice to the chorus of entertainers and politicians who have spoken out against the attack on the popular gay nightclub, which was also honored by Sunday night's Tony Awards telecast, which was opened by host James Corden saying, "hate will never win."

Yeah, the reaction has been quite strong, Queen and Paul McCartney are other acts to make solidarity signs during gigs in the past few days.

Her first time headlining at the legendary music festival, on Saturday night at the Pyramid Stage. Her hour & half set was notable less for the music than for her frequent between-song banter and antics with the crowd, which seemed to take up about 1/4 of her gig The songs were fine, though, and she should be set fair for the foreseeable future.

She's claimed to have been offered (and turned down) the gig doing the Half-Time gig during next year's Superbowl. However, the bods behind that, are claiming she hasn't been offered it.

She also had to cancel a gig on the grounds of having overdone her voice and needing a rest.

She's been talking about suffering with Post-Natal Depression after she had her son Angelo:

The 28-year old goes on to say that she "loves her son more than anything" but admits she really struggled adjusting to motherhood.
"I was obsessed with my child. I felt very inadequate," she says.
Angelo is now four and Adele's only child with partner Simon Konecki.
He advised her to talk to other mothers about her concerns. She says she refused at first but the depression "lifted" once she confided in a friend who had a child and realised she wasn't alone.
She goes on to say that taking an afternoon a week to herself improved the situation.
The interview comes as Adele reaches the end of her 10-month tour to mark her album 25.

Adele was a big winner at last night's BBC Music Awards last night, with 2 wins (as she also managed last year), though she wasn't there to accept.

A lengthy re-telling of her career, with many of the good and the not that good offering praise to her for continuing to improve through her career. Biographers, journalists and even a tribute act all had their say. Like Ed Sheeran, her success times in well with the new trend for event releases.

It was another eventful Grammys for Adele, winning another handful of awards, including Best Album, which she claimed Beyoncé deserved more, leading to her breaking the trophy to share it with her.

Adele also caused headlines with a tribute to George Michael, when she had a bit of trouble with "Fastlove".

Just days after scooping five categories at the Grammy Awards, Adele collected honors in the best festival headliner category for her Pyramid Stage triumph at the 2016 Glastonbury fest. But it didn't turn out to be a landslide night for the Londoner. She lost out to M.I.A. for best British female and in the “hero of the year” category, won by Beyonce. 

Given the large number of winners on the night, it was one of those where it's almost more difficult to not win something...

She and her husband have split up after a few years. Worse, that means fans and cheap comics will assume she'll have a 4th album coming off the back of it...

Saturday having been National Album Day, a suitable chart of the 40 biggest sellers of the 21st Century revealed that 21 is the top choice (and 25 came 3rd).

She's let on that her 4th album can be expected in September

That obviously didn't happen, c/o the pandemic. Whether it's still due out this year, I dunno. She did present Saturday Night Live this week, though didn't sing as she didn't feel she could do that and hosting adequately.
